Part-Time Closer

East Bank Learning Center is an independently owned, intentionally small, high-end early childhood education center serving children ages one to five. We pride ourselves on offering a premium, play-based learning environment where relationships come first. In our center, continuity of care is paramount—everyone knows everyone, and our families are an extension of our team.

We are looking for a dedicated, warm, and professional closing team member to ensure our days end just as beautifully as they begin.

Position Summary

As our Closing Support Staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our program during the final hours of the day. You will support classrooms, engage with children in a meaningful play-based environment, and ensure families experience a smooth, welcoming, and informative pick-up process.

This position is ideal for college students (especially those in Education, Child Development, or related fields), retirees, or anyone looking for a consistent, rewarding part-time afternoon role.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely close the facility at the end of the day, ensuring all areas are secure and organized
• Assist with child supervision during transition times, including pickup and end-of-day routines
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of classrooms, play areas, and common spaces during closing shifts
• Support classroom management by reinforcing routines and behavior expectations with children
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including first aid procedures if necessary

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience working with young children (preschool, childcare, camp, or babysitting) is highly preferred.
• Characteristics: Energetic, reliable, and deeply relational. You should possess excellent communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor with both children and adults.
• Dependability: Because this role is vital to our daily closing operations, consistent attendance and punctuality are strict requirements.
• Requirements: Must be able to pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements for early childhood personnel.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
