Wheelchair Accessibility Driver

Battle Buddy Mobility Transport, LLC provides safe and reliable transportation for people who may need ambulatory assistance and wheelchair transport. We provide curb-to-curb service. Our caring drivers will ensure that our clients are transported to and from medical services to hospitals, dialysis centers, doctor’s appointments, rehabilitation, and much more.

This is Part-time position in Battle Creek, MI with the possibility of Full-time long term based in Jackson, MI with a take-home company provided vehicle.

Duties:

· Drive a minivan safely to and from destinations

· Maintain a clean and fueled vehicle

· Strap and secure wheelchairs into the vehicle

· Transport patient according to assigned route

· Maintain documentation on vehicle condition

· Communicate with management, client, and medical staff

· Comply with HIPPA regulations

· Comply with MDOT regulations

· Maintain a safe environment for clients

· Train first shift in Battle Creek, MI for two weeks

· While working part-time, employee will be based in Battle Creek, MI

· Must be able to attend quarterly training in Battle Creek, MI on Sundays

If offered a full-time position:

· Take care of take-home company provided vehicle that must be returned to Battle Creek, MI every other weekend for maintenance

· Must be able to park take-home vehicle in a legal parking spot (away from overhead trees and power lines)

Requirements:

· Must have a valid driver's license

· Must be at least 25 years of age with 5 years of driving experience

· Must be willing to obtain a Chauffeur’s license – will help obtain

· Must be willing to obtain CPR Certification – will provide training

· Must be compassionate, professional, and reliable

· Must be able to pass criminal background checks and drug test

Part-time:

· 20+ hours per week

· Monday – Friday, weekends as needed
