About the Job

We’re on a mission to prevent food waste from ending up in landfills, and we need dedicated individuals to help us collect and compost it. This role involves driving our food waste collection routes in Yellowstone Park, and/or Bozeman and Big Sky:

• Yellowstone Park Route: Wednesday
• Big Sky Routes: Tues and/or Friday

What You’ll Do

• Collect food waste from approximately 5 - 15 commercial accounts each day.
• Handle roller bins (16-64 gallons, up to 350 lbs) Our box truck is equipped with a lift gate for heavy lifting, but just rolling the bins around does require strength and coordination.
• Empty collected bins into the compost pile and cover the food scraps with woodchips.
• Return bins to our nearby warehouse for cleaning.

What We’re Looking For

• Physical Readiness: This is an active role requiring frequent vehicle entry/exit and the ability to lift 20-30 lbs regularly and manage rolling/moving heavy bins.
• Driving Experience: A clean driving record is a must, as well as experience with large vehicles and trailers (24' box truck)
• Hours: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) options available. Potential for additional work turning compost piles with a front end loader depending on equipment operation experience.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 1 year of delivery driving experience (preferred).
• 5 years of general driving experience (preferred).
• Strong communication skills (phone call required to apply).
