Part-Time Content Creator — Film & Edit Weekend Events (DFW)

Run the social presence of a growing brand. You'll move between live events across the metro capturing content, then cut that footage into short-form and long-form video and sharpen your craft on real events every week. If you're a creator who lives on social, knows every trend before it peaks, and likes being out in the field, this is it.

The Mix Fix is a private bartending company serving weddings, private parties, and corporate events across DFW. We're a fun, high-energy team to work with, social is how we grow, and we're handing that vertical to one person to run.

What you'll do

  • Block your Saturday for us and travel between multiple events in one shift — sometimes 15 minutes at a smaller event, sometimes an hour at a bigger one, then on to the next
  • Capture cocktails being made, bar setups, guests, behind-the-scenes prep
  • Edit that footage into short-form (Reels, TikToks) and long-form (YouTube edits, event recaps)
  • Post and schedule on the cadence we agree to set
  • Spot trends early and apply current formats, audio, and hooks to our content
  • Be a flexible team player — we're a small, hands-on crew, so occasionally you may help with a minor event-day need (for example, a quick supply run for garnishes or mixers on your way to a shoot). This is occasional and minor, not a core part of the role — your job is content.
  • Work independently — get to a site, know what to capture, get the shots, move on

Schedule — read this carefully

  • Saturdays, 3pm to 10pm — you block this full 7-hour window for us and travel between events. You're paid for the availability, not just filming time. Non-negotiable.
  • Sundays and Fridays — occasional events with advance notice, not every week. You'll be told ahead of time when these come up.
  • Weekday editing — handling editing, posting, and scheduling. You manage your own editing time, but you deliver a set weekly slate of finished content by end of day Thursday, post on the cadence we set, and join a brief weekly check-in call.

This role runs approximately 24 hours per week, varying with event volume.

Weekly content expectation: Ramping up over your first month to a minimum each week of at least 8 to 10 polished short-form videos AND at least 1 to 2 long-form pieces (YouTube edit or event recap). All post-ready, varied in format and length, tied to that week's events, with captions, music, and hooks. Quality is reviewed weekly — padded or filler content doesn't count toward the number.

Travel costs for longer-distance events and supply runs are covered. If you can't reliably hold your Saturdays open, do not apply.

What you need

  • A portfolio or reel of short-form video you personally filmed AND edited. No portfolio, no consideration — applications without one are not reviewed.
  • A track record growing a brand or account — you've done this before and can show the results
  • You're a little obsessed with social media. You know the trends, the audio, the formats, and what's about to pop before everyone else does.
  • Strong editing skills with fast turnaround across short-form and long-form (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
  • Real fluency in TikTok, Reels, and YouTube — hooks, pacing, trends, what makes content perform
  • A smartphone capable of clean 4K video, plus editing software
  • Proven reliability — you show up when you say you will, hit your deadlines, and can move fast between sites
  • A reliable vehicle and comfort working a mobile shift across DFW, not one fixed location
  • Bonus: bartending experience or familiarity with bar lingo, photography skills, or experience with events, food and beverage, or hospitality

To apply

Submit your application with a portfolio link or social media handle of a page you've personally grown. Applications without a portfolio or social handle are deleted unread. We review weekly and respond to qualified candidates within five business days. This is a W2 part-time position. Equipment and vehicle use are supported through a monthly stipend and travel coverage, details provided at offer. Note: all content produced in this role is the property of The Mix Fix.

Pay: $1,600.00 per month

Application Question(s):

  • Do you have a reliable vehicle for traveling between events across DFW?
  • What phone or camera do you shoot on, and what model?
  • Drop your own social handle (TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube — wherever you're most active), plus a handle for any brand or client account you've grown. Public links or @handles are fine. We will look.
  • What editing software do you use?
  • Tell us about a specific brand or social account you helped grow. What did you do, and what were the measurable results (followers, views, engagement, sales)?
