Data Entry Analyst
Position Summary
The Data Entry Analyst position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all donations and donor records within the organization’s donor tracking database. This position plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity and maintaining positive donor relationships through proper acknowledgment and record management. This role works closely with the Development and Finance teams to support revenue tracking, appeals, reporting, and donor communications while upholding strict standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
*Processes all donations, including mailed in donations, online contributions and other electronic gifts
*Monitors bank activity and website donation platforms to ensure all gifts are properly recorded
*Creates database batches for processed checks and donation receipts
*Enters all donation details and donor information into the donor tracking database
*Reviews, updates, and corrects donor records to maintain data accuracy and integrity
*Prepares and distributes donor acknowledgment letters and related correspondence in a timely manner
*Processes “In Memory” and “In Honor” tributes and prepares acknowledgment letters
*Ensures all acknowledgments meet organizational and IRS requirements
*Assists in generating reports from the donor database for development and leadership team
*Supports the management of fundraising appeals, including direct mail and digital campaigns within the donor tracking database
*Collaborates well with other departments to support the mission of the organization
*Performs other duties as assigned to support the needs of the organization
Qualifications
*Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Nonprofit Management, or related field OR
*High school diploma with 2+ years of relevant database, administrative, or accounting support experience
*High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
*Strong organizational and time management skills
*Ability to manage high-volume, repetitive tasks with consistency
*Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and database systems
*Professional written communication skills
*Ability to maintain confidentiality of donor and financial information
*Collaborative team player with a mission-driven mindset
*Part-time work hours: Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 1:30pm
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
