Part Time Daycare Floater- Afternoon Shift

Job Summary:

Position is Monday-Friday 11:30-5:30

We are seeking a dedicated Floater to join our team. The Teacher supports the daily operations of the childcare center by assisting in various classrooms as needed. This role is essential in maintaining appropriate staff-to-child ratios, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and providing consistent care and supervision to children of all ages.

Duties:

• Assist lead and assistant teachers in classrooms as assigned
• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being
• Step into classrooms during staff breaks, absences, or high-needs periods
• Support daily routines including meals, diapering, toileting, naps, and transitions
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment
• Follow all center policies, state licensing regulations, and health & safety guidelines
• Communicate professionally with staff and administration
• Model positive behavior and interactions with children and coworkers
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned

Qualifications:

-High school diploma or GED REQUIRED
- Previous experience in a daycare, tutoring, or classroom setting
- Strong understanding of child development principles
- Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans
- Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment techniques
- Experience in toddler care and childcare settings
- Passion for providing quality education and care to young children

Job Type: Part-time
