Part-time Daycare Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team at Adventures In Learning! The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and supportive learning environment while working with young children. This role involves working closely with lead teachers to implement curriculum, support students with diverse needs, and promote positive childhood development.

Duties

• Assist in the development and implementation of engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles.
• Support the lead teacher in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Educate students on essential skills, concepts, and social interactions to promote their overall development.
• Work with children with disabilities, providing individualized support and encouragement.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster strong relationships and ensure student success.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the lead teacher as necessary.
• Help maintain a clean, organized classroom that is conducive to learning.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills in special education and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, particularly in childcare or educational settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Willing to undergo a background check upon first day.
• Must hold a valid CPR, First Aid, BloodBorne Pathogens, and Food Handlers Certification upon first day.
• Must complete a tuberculin (TB) skin test upon first day.
• Must complete a 30 Hour Child Care Basics course within 3 months of hire.
