Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment.
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, with precision and enthusiasm.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when necessary, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures using clear dental terminology, and addressing their questions to promote comfort.
- Maintain infection control standards by adhering to protocols for sterilization, handling medical imaging equipment, and practicing proper anatomy knowledge during chairside assisting.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting or general dentistry practice is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental assisting.
Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
