Part Time Dental Assistant

Duties

• Assist dentists during various, general dentistry procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, set up procedure trays, and ensure cleanliness of lab space and operatories.
• Take dental radiographs, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols adhering to HIPAA regulations for patent privacy.
• Manage Dentrix, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding .
• Monitor vital signs and assist with medical assessments to support comprehensive patient care.
• Provide excellent dental customer service by scheduling appoitments, medical records, and assisting with patient inquiries .
• Maintin infection control protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards to uphold a safe clinical environment.

Skills

• Proven experience as a dental assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix.
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization of procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
• Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely and accurately while following HIPAA guidelines .
• Strong understanding of dentistry principles.
• Knowledge of dental specialties including prosthodontics, temporary crowns, and general dentistry procedures
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, dentist, and patients.
