Part Time Dental Hygienist

Duties

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, and adhering infection control protocols.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories.
• Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining proper radiation safety standards.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and managing medical records securely.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental software systems.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding practices.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and professionally.
• Skilled in chairside assisting techniques specific to general dentistry and pediatrics.
