Job Title: Dentist
Location: Mission First Medical and Dental Clinic – Jackson, MS
Reports To: Associate Director of Mission First

Mission First is a nonprofit, faith-based healthcare clinic committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to individuals and families who are underserved or uninsured. Position Summary

We are seeking a mission-driven and compassionate Dentist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality dental care while embracing the clinic’s Christian mission and values. This position offers the unique opportunity to serve vulnerable populations in a supportive, spiritually enriching environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dental services, including examinations, restorative procedures, extractions, and preventive care
  • Diagnose oral conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Oversee and collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and HIPAA regulations
  • Offer patient education on oral health, hygiene, and post-treatment care
  • Supervise our partnership with UMMC School of Dentistry
  • Treat patients with compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity
  • Participate in team devotions, prayer, and other Christ-centered activities as appropriate
  • Support and uphold the clinic’s mission, vision, and values in all aspects of care

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
  • Valid and unrestricted state dental license
  • Current DEA registration and CPR/BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred (new grads considered)
  • Excellent diagnostic, clinical, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing care to underserved and diverse populations
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented, faith-based nonprofit setting
  • Agreement with the clinic’s Christian mission and values
