Part time Diesel Mechanic wanted in New Milford CT Flexible evenings weekend hours

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining a variety of commercial heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on commercial heavy duty TriAxle dump trucks (including weekly greasing, oil changes, light mechanical repairs)
• Inspect vehicle systems including air brakes, hydraulics, suspension, lighting, etc
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment operation
• Familiarity with commercial repair practices
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge

Hours are flexible (would require weekends& some evenings if available)
