Part-Time Digital Media & Website Coordinator (Church Internship)

We are seeking a creative, reliable individual to help strengthen our digital presence and communicate clearly with our congregation and community. This is an ideal opportunity for a college student, recent graduate, stay-at-home parent, or marketing professional seeking flexible, part-time work with purpose. Candidate is not required to be a member of FCCWP.

Position Summary

The Digital Media & Website Coordinator will manage our church website, create and post social media content, and provide simple, consistent reporting to the marketing committee and church leadership. This role requires 3–5 hours per week and strong self-management skills.

Responsibilities

Website Management

• Maintain and update church website (currently built on Wix)
• Post sermon updates, events, announcements, and seasonal content
• Ensure website information is accurate and current
• Make minor design improvements as needed

Social Media

• Create engaging graphics using Canva
• Draft and schedule social posts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• Promote events, sermon series, volunteer opportunities, and community initiatives
• Maintain a consistent voice and posting schedule

Reporting & Measurement

• Track basic analytics (website traffic, social engagement)
• Provide a brief monthly report to the marketing committee and church leadership
• Offer simple recommendations for improvement based on metrics

Required Qualifications

• Experience using Canva
• Experience managing or building a website (Wix highly preferred; other platforms may be acceptable — including personal blog or portfolio sites)
• Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms and engagement strategies
• Familiarity with Google Analytics or platform insights
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated bias for action and ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines
• Embody the Open & Affirming theology of FCCWP
