The Early Childhood Caregiver provides nurturing, developmentally appropriate care to children ages 2 and under in a small, home-like daycare environment. This role focuses on responsive caregiving, safe play, emotional connection, and supporting early learning through play-based experiences. The caregiver works as part of a collaborative, positive team that values kindness, routine, and communication with families.

About Us

Meadow Creek Academy is a PreK–12 homeschool-hybrid private school located in Alvin, Texas. We value creativity, inclusion, and family partnership in all that we do. Our program provides a warm, engaging space for children to play, rest, and interact under the supervision of qualified, compassionate caregivers.

Responsibilities & Routine

• Greet children and families warmly to support a gentle transition each morning.
• Assist with snacks and lunch, modeling healthy and positive mealtime interactions.
• Support diapering, potty learning routines, and hygiene using respectful care practices.
• Guide children through nap/rest time using calm, comforting approaches.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment throughout the day.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in child care or early childhood education
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift children (up to 35 lbs)
• Ability to sit on the floor and actively engage in indoor and outdoor play
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• CPR and First Aid certification (required before start date)
• College degree or coursework in Early Childhood Development (preferred)
• Must pass background check

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday and Tuesday, 8:30–4:00
• Calendar: 31-week student year
• Pay: $14–$17/hour based on experience and education
• Location: Alvin, Texas (near Friendswood)
• Start Date: Immediate
