Part-time Early Childhood Teacher or Classroom Aid

Boulder Day Nursery has been providing high-quality early learning experiences to Boulder families for over 100 years. Join our amazing teaching team as a part-time Early Childhood Teacher or Classroom Aid! This position is for all ages from 3 months to 5 years and the ideal candidate must be comfortable with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. This position requires afternoon availability until 5:30PM. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives.

Duties

• Provide warm and responsive care to young children.
• Support classroom teachers by maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote healthy development
• Support classroom routines such as meal times, nap times, diaper changing and outdoor play while ensuring health and safety standards are upheld
• Use effective communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and team members

Qualifications

• Criminal history background checks will be required prior to the start of employment. Must be able to pass Colorado Central Registry and CBI criminal record checks and must have no prior convictions for child abuse, misdemeanors or felonies.
• Must be at least 18 years old and in good physical and mental health; must pass medical exams per licensing requirements.

Pay: $16.86 - $23.25 per hour
