Part Time ELA and L.Arts Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time ELA (English Language Arts) instructor to support students in developing their reading, writing, and comprehension skills. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic success. Ideal candidates will have a background in education, preferably with university experience, and a passion for fostering student growth in an engaging learning environment.

Duties

• Deliver engaging and effective English Language Arts instruction tailored to diverse student needs
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations
• Provide constructive feedback to support student improvement
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student achievement
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and student performance

Requirements

• Prior experience teaching or tutoring ELA at the secondary or post-secondary level is preferred
• University experience or relevant academic background in education or English is highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
• Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment
• Flexibility to work part-time hours, with availability during evenings or weekends as needed
• A passion for education and helping students succeed

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
