Position: English Tutor (Part-Time)
Locations: Piscataway and North Edison Centers
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time 2-3 days a week, 4.30 to 8 PM week nights)

Eye Level Learning Center seeks passionate and dedicated English tutors to join our team. We offer a structured, self-directed learning environment that empowers students to reach their academic potential. Eye Level's teaching philosophy centers on individualized academic coaching, critical thinking, and fostering a love for learning. Our standardized curriculum eliminates the need for lesson planning, making this an ideal position for those who are enthusiastic about teaching and guiding students through their educational journey.

As a tutor, you will work with elementary/middle school students, helping them improve their English skills through engaging and interactive lessons. The tutor-to-student ratio is kept small to ensure personalized attention for each child. You will be responsible for fostering a supportive, positive, and encouraging learning environment that inspires students to grow both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tutor elementary/middle students in English using Eye Level's standardized curriculum (no lesson planning required)
• Provide individualized academic coaching to help students improve their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills
• Create a supportive and motivating environment that encourages self-directed learning
• Collaborate with the center staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents

Requirements:

• Passion for working with children and helping them succeed academically
• Responsible, responsive, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
• Ability to inspire and engage students of varying skill levels
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus but not required
