Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive English lessons tailored to the age and skill level of Chinese students, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles and incorporate innovative learning technology tools to enhance student engagement.
• Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a supportive environment that promotes active participation and respect among students.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative assessments and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs, including early childhood education, special education requirements, or preschool experience.
• Foster a positive learning atmosphere by building strong relationships with students, understanding their individual needs, and encouraging their linguistic confidence.
• Collaborate with parents or guardians when necessary to discuss student progress and recommend additional resources or activities for continued development.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English to children or young learners, ideally with classroom management skills.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, and the integration of learning technology tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
• Experience working with children in early childhood education settings or preschool environments is preferred.
• Multilingual skills such as French or Japanese are considered an asset; knowledge of additional languages can enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Strong writing skills for creating engaging lesson materials and educational content.
• Demonstrated ability to work flexibly with students of various ages and backgrounds while maintaining patience and enthusiasm.
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and experience working with children with diverse needs including special education is advantageous.
