Job Summary:

Operates a wheel loader, excavator, dozer to load customer trucks, manage material stockpiles as needed, and keeping site orderly and efficient. Adheres to safety requirements and safe operating procedures at all times. Ensures that equipment receives proper maintenance. Maintains good communication with management. Performs other duties as directed by management including paperwork. This position is located in Baton Rouge, LA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates heavy equipment in compliance with safety policies and procedures
• Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records
• Moves and positions raw materials and finished products for safety and efficiency
• Loads, weighs, measures, and tickets outbound product sales
• Measures and tickets incoming raw materials
• Assists and helps haulers to provide best transportation services
• Maintains accurate cash and COD records
• Keeps site area clean and organized at all times
• Communicates well at all times with management
• Performs other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five years experience working with equipment preferred
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required
• Good communication skills
• Safety oriented
• Positive, courteous, and helpful
• Self-motivated and eager to learn

POSITION SUMMARY

Successfully candidate will be energetic, dependable, and self-motivated, who can work well with other people.
Experienced in operating equipment such as front-end loaders, excavators, backhoes and/or bulldozers.
Responsible for safely receiving, documenting, moving, and stacking incoming demo product to selected intake areas.
Responsible for safe management of finished product area.
Responsible for safely and timely documenting and loading finished products to fulfill sales orders.
Perform daily inspection and pre-operation check of equipment with documentation.
Perform regular service and maintenance on equipment.
Responsible for keeping intake and finished product areas orderly and neat at all times.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays and Sundays when necessary.
Ability to analyze, trouble shoot, and repair.
Must be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated.
Must have a positive attitude in working with others as a team.
Must have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
