At FastFrame of Durham, we pride ourselves on excellent design skills, high quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. We frame everything from original masterpieces, concert posters, family photos, keepsakes and memorabilia (spoons, guitar picks, flags, newborn shadow boxes, instruments, etc.) and stretch canvas. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:· Assist clients in arriving at an attractive and well-designed framing solution.· Listen to client’s preferences and present frame design options for their art.· Using your expertise to assist clients with implementing their vision that may include but are not limited to the correct mounting treatment for their type of art, mat style and color, layout or well thought out composition of the overall design, frame profile, color, texture, material, etc.· Enter frame order into Lifesaver that includes the necessary details for production.· Maintain a clean, well-organized and welcoming showroom.

Key Requirements:

· Experience in the framing or art industry or business

· Experience in handling art

· Organized and clean working habits

· Pleasant personality and team-oriented attitude

· Must demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with team members, other framers, suppliers, customers, and management.

· Must possess a high level of independence, dependability, creativity, judgment and accuracy.

· Ability to work 15-20 hours per week including evenings and occasional Saturday. We have some flexibility in setting work schedules, so long as it fits within our store hours of Monday-Friday, 10am to 5pm and Saturday, 10am to 3pm.

· Willingness to help clean the shop including dusting, vacuuming, and occasionally the employee bathroom.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
