Part-Time Female Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Edison, NJ

Job Summary
We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable female Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual in Edison, NJ (Middlesex County).

This is a part-time position with a consistent weekday schedule, ideal for someone looking for steady hours while making a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily routines
• Assist with morning and afternoon activities
• Ensure the individual’s safety and well-being
• Build a positive, respectful, and supportive relationship
• Follow established care plans and guidelines

Experience

• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is required.
• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and effective behavior management techniques is highly desirable.
• Experience in special education or caregiving roles that involve assisting with ADLs and providing personal care.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation responsibilities.
• Previous home or community care experience is a plus; training will be provided where needed. Join us in creating a positive impact through compassionate support! Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Morning: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Total: 4 hours per day

Due to the nature of our business all employees are required to complete the following:

• A criminal background check and be determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals served.
• Must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
• A drug test prior to employment, random, and for cause.
• An application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI)
• Consent to exclusionary checks completed initially and monthly as applicable.

Required Training - WE PROVIDE PAID TRAINING!

· Electronic Visit Verification

· All required DDD trainings through The College of Direct Support (CDS)

· CPR, First Aid, Emergency Procedures, Medication Administration (If applicable)

Additional Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Reliable transportation required
