Part Time Fence Builder

Position Summary:
A Fence Builder is responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of fences for residential, commercial, or industrial properties. This role involves measuring, planning, and assembling materials to ensure fences are secure, durable, and built to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, or project specifications
• Measure property lines and layout fence locations accurately
• Install fence posts using manual or power tools (augers, post-hole diggers, etc.)
• Build and install wood, chain-link, vinyl, metal, or composite fencing
• Mix and pour concrete for post foundations
• Inspect materials for quality and ensure installations meet safety standards
• Repair or replace damaged fences, gates, rails, or posts
• Maintain tools, equipment, and worksite cleanliness
• Follow company and jobsite safety protocols
• Communicate with customers and supervisors about project status and requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in fencing, construction, carpentry, or related trades preferred
• Ability to use hand and power tools (saws, drills, concrete mixers, etc.)
• Strong measurement, math, and layout skills
• Physical strength and stamina; ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
• Basic knowledge of materials such as wood, metal, vinyl, and concrete
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license (often required)

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
