Puppy Haberdashery is a luxury, creative dog grooming salon known for distinctive styling, elevated client service, and a strong focus on canine health and presentation. Our Hyde Park location serves a clientele that values professionalism, detail, and a premium experience.

We are seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Administrator who is polished, organized, tech-savvy, and customer-focused. This role is the operational heartbeat of the salon — blending client experience, administrative precision, and brand support.

Position Overview

As Front Desk Administrator, you are the first and last impression of Puppy Haberdashery. You will manage client interactions, scheduling, and communications while also supporting marketing initiatives and internal operations.

This position is ideal for someone who:

  • Is comfortable with digital tools and content creation
  • Thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment
  • Takes initiative and maintains professionalism under pressure

Core Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Client Experience & Operations

  • Greet clients warmly and professionally
  • Answer phones and manage appointment scheduling
  • Process payments and manage POS transactions
  • Maintain accurate client records
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve concerns professionally
  • Support salon flow and communication between staff

Marketing & Administrative Support

  • Assist with managing and posting on social media platforms
  • Create flyers, announcements, and promotional materials using Canva
  • Support marketing campaigns and in-store promotions
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking data and reports
  • Create and edit documents in Microsoft Word
  • Assist in creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills (required)
  • Experience operating social media platforms for business use
  • Proficiency in Canva
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable and punctual

Previous front desk, retail, or salon experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule
