Part-Time Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor

Candlewood Suites Independence is seeking a reliable, customer-focused team member to join our front office team. This unique part-time position offers a combination of Front Desk Agent and Night Auditor shifts, providing schedule variety and an opportunity to gain experience in multiple aspects of hotel operations.

Our hotel is a modern property that is less than 10 years old, offering a clean, welcoming, and professional work environment for both guests and employees.

Position Summary

This role will work a combination of these shifts resulting in Full-Time:

• 2 Front Desk Agent shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 3 Night Auditor shifts: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable providing exceptional guest service while handling both daily front desk operations and overnight auditing responsibilities.

ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Duties

• Welcome guests and complete check-in and check-out procedures
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
• Process reservations and payments
• Resolve guest concerns in a professional manner
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area

Night Audit Duties

• Complete nightly audit procedures and financial reconciliations
• Balance daily revenue and prepare required reports
• Verify accuracy of guest accounts and transactions
• Monitor hotel security and guest safety during overnight hours
• Handle late arrivals, early departures, and overnight guest requests
• Prepare the hotel for the next business day

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Flexible availability for both morning and overnight shifts
• Previous hotel, hospitality, customer service, or cash-handling experience preferred but not required
• Reliable transportation and attendance
