Job Summary
Part Time Bookkeeper/Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper /Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing company. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, manufacturing industry experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all general accounting functions.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card accounts, close out month-end.
- Oversee two contractors who are responsible for Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements.
- Oversee inventory costing with our Bill of Materials System including inventory accounting specific to a production company.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax returns including payroll, sales tax and other regulatory requirements.
- Generate other special accounting reports for control and analysis.
- Involved with annual insurance workers comp audit report.
- Generate financial reports and provide analysis to management.
- Support operational teams with cost tracking and margin analysis.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is critical.
- Strong understanding of job costing and inventory management
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 to 20 per week on average. Flexible Schedule
