Duties

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches like CBT, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Deliver specialized counseling for children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
  • Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive case management plans that include social work support, medical documentation, and HIPAA-compliant record keeping.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services while maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and document clinical notes with attention to detail using ICD coding standards; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing clinical research or data collection efforts related to behavioral health outcomes to enhance treatment efficacy.
  • Support patients through grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and chronic pain management as needed.
  • Participate in professional development activities focused on medical terminology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding updates, and best practices in mental health treatment.

Experience

  • Valid licensure as an LPC or LCSW with current certification to practice independently in your state.
  • Proven experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient or inpatient settings with diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with children & family counseling, special education needs, or pediatrics is highly desirable.
  • Experience delivering crisis intervention and crisis management within behavioral health or hospital environments.
  • Familiarity with telehealth technology platforms for remote patient engagement is preferred.
  • Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation; experience with CPT coding is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health conditions.
