Part-Time Graphic Design & Letterpress Production Assistant

We’re looking for a dedicated, skilled craft designer to join our team one day per week as a Part-Time Graphic Design & Letterpress Production Assistant. This hands-on role blends traditional letterpress printing with modern graphic design, web design elements, project planning, production setup, and scheduling — essentially acting as a shop assistant in a creative studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, projects, and materials for production runs for digital and letterpress
• Create and refine graphic design layouts for print projects
• Handle some web design updates and digital asset creation and photography
• Assist with project design, client coordination, and production workflows
• Manage production setup, scheduling, and shop organization
• Perform general studio assistance and keep the workspace clean and efficient
• Ensure all work meets high-quality craft standards

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in craft design, graphic design, letterpress, or a closely related field
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Basic web design knowledge SHOPIFY (HTML/CSS, WordPress, or similar) is a plus
• Experience with production setup, scheduling, and project management
• Reliable, dedicated, and able to work independently in a small-team/shop environment
• Passion for hands-on craft work and traditional printing techniques
• Ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods during press work
