## Job Advert: Part-Time Graphic Designer & SEO Assistant

**Focus: Amazon KDP Book Covers, Author Graphics & Digital Marketing**

We are looking for a **creative and detail-oriented part-time Graphic Designer with SEO knowledge** to support the design and marketing of books published on **Amazon KDP** and related platforms.

This role is suitable for someone with **1–2 years’ experience** who is confident designing professional book covers, promotional graphics, and digital content, while also understanding basic SEO principles for book listings and online visibility.

### Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will assist with:

* Designing **high-quality book covers** for Amazon KDP, including paperback, hardcover and Kindle formats

* Creating related graphics such as banners, social media posts, author branding images, thumbnails and promotional material

* Preparing cover files according to **Amazon KDP technical specifications**

* Researching book cover styles, competitor designs and market trends

* Supporting SEO for book listings, including keyword research, category research and metadata suggestions

* Creating visually consistent branding across books, websites and social platforms

* Making revisions quickly and professionally based on feedback

* Maintaining organised design files and templates

### Required Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

* **1–2 years’ experience** in graphic design, preferably including book covers or publishing-related work

* Good working knowledge of tools such as **Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Figma** or similar

* Understanding of **Amazon KDP cover requirements** and print-ready design would be an advantage

* Basic SEO knowledge, including keyword research and online content optimisation

* Strong creativity, layout sense, typography skills and attention to detail

* Ability to produce clean, commercial and professional designs

* Good communication skills and ability to work independently

* A portfolio showing previous design work

### Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be useful:

* Amazon KDP book cover design

* Non-fiction book covers, business books, tax/accounting books or professional publishing

* Social media graphics for LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram or websites

* AI-assisted design tools

* Website graphics and blog image creation

* SEO tools such as Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Ubersuggest or Publisher Rocket

### Working Arrangement

* **Part-time / flexible hours**

* Remote working possible

* Project-based or monthly arrangement can be discussed
