Part-Time Group Facilitator (CDCA/QMHS)

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and dynamic Part-Time Group Facilitator to join our multidisciplinary team in Ohio. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about substance use and mental health treatment who thrives in both group facilitation and direct client support.

Position Overview

The Group Facilitator will lead engaging and therapeutic group sessions while supporting clients throughout their recovery journey in a residential and/or outpatient setting. This individual will collaborate closely with the Clinical Director and treatment team to implement effective, client-centered programming.


Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on substance use, mental health, and recovery
  • Develop and implement innovative group activities that promote client growth and well-being
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director and treatment team to establish short- and long-term treatment goals
  • Provide psychoeducation on substance abuse, relapse prevention, life skills, and general health topics
  • Participate in opioid awareness, intervention, and prevention programming
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in the EMR
  • Complete all group and clinical notes in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Joint Commission standards, and Ohio regulatory requirements
  • Foster a warm, empathetic, and supportive therapeutic environment
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and clinical supervision as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred
    • CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant) preferred
    • QMHS (Qualified Mental Health Specialist) preferred
  • Commitment to advancing from CDCA I to CDCA II
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment preferred
  • Familiarity with 12-Step programs and recovery principles
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and group facilitation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a residential treatment setting
  • Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
  • Familiarity with Ohio community resources for substance use and mental health services

Schedule

  • Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm
