A warm and organized family in Los Altos is seeking a part-time Nanny/Family Assistant to support their two school-aged children and help keep their home running smoothly. The children are ages four and six, and the family is looking for someone with positive energy who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and being part of a supportive household environment.

The role combines after-school childcare with light family assistant support throughout the week. Driving is a key part of the position, including school pickups and transportation to activities and playdates, and a family car will be provided for work use. Responsibilities

• School pickup and transportation to activities and playdates
• Engaging children in age-appropriate play and activities
• Supporting homework and school projects as needed
• Bathing and getting children ready as needed
• Maintaining organized routines and schedules
• Tidying common areas and toys
• Children’s laundry and occasional ironing
• Loading and unloading dishwasher as needed
• Basic household organization
• Occasional errands and returns
• Coordinating small household needs as needed
• Maintaining household items such as appliances and filters

To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.
• Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.
• Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CPR certification (if applicable).
• Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
