Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure effective sanitation and floor care
• Maintain cleanliness of surfaces, windows, furniture, and fixtures in accordance with established protocols
• Follow ACHA guidelines to promote a safe working environment
• Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing additional cleaning or maintenance
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables in compliance with environmental services standards
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or needed

Experience

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in healthcare or commercial settings
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and environmental services standards
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to cleaning and custodial work
• Experience with floor care including stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet cleaning is a plus
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, and mops effectively
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently
