• English courses, grades 6-12
• History courses, grades 6-12
• Comfort teaching up to the AP level a plus, but not required

Summary

We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join our dedicated team at Tilden Preparatory School in the heart of our educational community. This role is vital in fostering students' understanding and appreciation of science through personalized instruction and innovative teaching methods.
Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging science curricula tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction to enhance student learning.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology into the science curriculum.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and development.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Foster a love for science through creative lesson planning and hands-on activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science Education or related field (required).
• Proven experience in teaching or tutoring science subjects.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage students.
• Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Experience working with diverse learners, including those with special needs (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Passion for education and commitment to student success.
