Part-time Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient care, and aseptic techniques while working collaboratively with the dental team to promote optimal oral health.

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosing dental issues.
• Assist in the management of patient records and documentation using appropriate medical coding practices.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Collaborate with dentists in providing comprehensive care, including general dentistry procedures.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
• Previous experience in dental assisting or related fields is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
