Part-Time Individualized Education Teacher: Elementary Math 2026-2027 School Year

The I-Ed Teacher position is responsible for ensuring students with seeming or diagnosed learning needs are supported as they receive best-practice instruction. This position will undergird the school’s ability to identify and help those with existing and emerging needs to meet their God-given potential and succeed within the framework of RCS and the I-ed standards. Student tutoring, parent communication, helping teachers in student I-ed plan management, and supporting the student’s academic organization will be prioritized.

ABOUT RCS:

Resurrection Christian School is a private, non-denominational Christian college-preparatory school located in Loveland, Colorado. Founded in 1998 by Rez.Church, Resurrection Christian School serves students from Pre-K through 12th grade. RCS is the largest Christian school in Northern Colorado, serving nearly 900 families from 19 communities over a 25-mile radius. School enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is approximately 1,350 students. RCS is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI); AdvancED.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct small group instruction with students on mathematical concepts relevant to goals and grade-level standards (K-5)
• Help students develop proficient math skills that will contribute to their academic growth
• Provide research-based, specialized instruction to meet individual student needs
• Adapt/modify materials to meet individual student needs
• Assist Classroom teacher in adapting classroom materials to meet student needs for subject areas other than mathematics
• Assess student current academic levels and monitor all academic testing
• Collaborate and consult with I-ed staff on student progress and needs
• Create SMART goals for each student in math
• Maintain accurate records of progress monitoring of student performance and goal tracking (quarterly)
• Build Christ-centered relationships with students, families, and staff
• Provide a positive learning environment to promote students who are globally equipped, academically prepared and boldly Christian
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
• Collaborate with other Elementary I-ed teachers

KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of the rules and regulations set forth by the Colorado Board of Education and ACSI Practices in Christian Schools.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting of child abuse and neglect.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google suite, and other department-related software packages.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tests, and writing and interpretation of evaluation results.

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:

Salary Range: $44,275 - $93,217+ Depending on education and years of experience. Prorated to part-time.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s degree is required. Must hold or be able to obtain a current school-approved licensure/certification. Must have experience in instructing students in a classroom setting. A special education license or endorsement is preferred. Reading intervention endorsement or experience is also preferred.

Working knowledge of the subject matter assigned, classroom management, best practices and strategies, as well as the understanding of diverse student learning styles and needs is required. Qualifications to administer both cognitive and achievement testing with the ability to interpret testing data is needed. This position will also require reading and writing educational evaluation reports.

Must have excellent planning skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet benchmarks and goals in a timely fashion. Strong interpersonal, organizational, facilitation and management skills are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Colorado State Teaching License
• Experience in the classroom setting
• Special Education license or endorsement preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The I-Ed Teacher position requires intermittent physical activity including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting of up to 40lbs on occasion. Must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must possess normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
