About the Position
Part Time | Fairview Park Area | Target Start: July 25, 2026
About the Role
A warm, growing family in the Fairview Park area is seeking a caring and adaptable private nanny to support the care of their infant daughter. This is a part time position requiring genuine flexibility, as the schedule shifts based on the mother's rotating hospital schedule. The family is close knit, thoughtful, and looking for a nanny who will truly invest in their daughter's wellbeing and feel comfortable being a trusted part of the household.
The Child
Your primary charge is an infant girl who will be approximately 3 months old at the start of care. She was born with a cleft lip and cleft palate and currently receives some of her feedings via NG tube, though this may change before the start date. Her care includes bottle feeding, possible NG tube feeding using an electric pump, and application of face tape and a nasal riser. These steps are straightforward to learn, and the family warmly welcomes candidates who are willing to be trained even if they do not have prior experience with these specific needs.
Schedule
Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is a firm requirement. Additional weekday shifts will be added on a rotating basis depending on the family's schedule, typically 9 to 10 hour shifts. The family provides their schedule approximately 6 weeks in advance and asks that their nanny be genuinely flexible to accommodate variation. This position is not appropriate for someone who requires a predictable, fixed weekly schedule.
Compensation
$25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience. No benefits package required for this part time position.
Responsibilities
Infant care including bottle feeding, NG tube feeding as needed, and all routine newborn care. Application of face tape and nasal riser as directed. Feeding and diaper log documentation (written, not app based). Text communication with parents throughout the day including photos and updates. Light baby related tidying such as bottle washing and infant laundry is appreciated but not required.
Household Notes
The family has two cats. Candidates with cat allergies are not a fit for this position. The father works from home. Screen time for the infant is not a concern at this stage, and the family appreciates a nanny who limits personal device use while working.
What the Family Is Looking For
A nanny who is warm, steady, and genuinely comfortable caring for a medically involved newborn. Prior experience with special needs infants or complex care is a plus, but openness and a willingness to learn matters more. The family is open to candidates from both private nannying and childcare center backgrounds and has no age preference. Most importantly, they want someone who will love their daughter and help them feel at peace when they are at work.
