Part time Interior Designer/Sales

Sales/Designer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Must know Pro kitchen or 2020 design/software margin

2. Achieving the annual sales target at Creating short and long term sales goals (monthly and yearly)

3. Reviewing sales targets weekly/monthly

4. Recording, responding to, and following up on all inquiries from prospective customers, Marketing and bringing new businesses

5. Utilizing the DreamMaker 7-Step Sales System

6. Qualifying all incoming leads

7. Tracking all client information and lead follow-up in EMT2; this includes systematically updating the status of leads as they advance through the sales funnel daily

8. Managing design center staffing (if applicable)

9. Conducting Initial Client Meetings at the Design Center

10. Conducting all subsequent client meetings required to complete the sale

11. Visiting and measuring jobsites prior to creating a design

12. Designing projects using computer software and/or hand sketches to prepare creative project designs

13. Completing the preliminary and final project estimates at the company-determined GPM to provide the client a clear and detailed definition of the Scope of Work

14. Submitting proposals / estimates to the Sales Manager for review prior to presenting to the client and completing any necessary revisions

15. Preparing, completing, and executing all client contract documents (e.g. the Project Checklist, Initial SOW, Design Retainer, etc.)

16. Collecting the DreamMaker Design/Build Retainer

17. Obtaining bids from the necessary trade partners and suppliers to prepare the estimate

18. Quoting labor and trade partner Scope of Work

19. Assisting the homeowner in all product selections after completing the initial design

20. Completing necessary permit applications

21. Scheduling and attending the Sales to Production Hand-Off (Pre-Construction Walkthrough) meeting

22. Scheduling and attending the Sales to Production Hand-Off internal meeting in addition to the Pre-Construction Walkthrough with the Lead Carpenter(s) and client

23. Writing Change Orders when necessary and providing them to the Lead Carpenter to have signed by customer

24. Meeting with clients at job-close to present the warranty packet and request a critique on how the project went

25. Recording open issues at job closeout

26. Taking “Before” and “After” pictures at job-close

27. Soliciting referrals at job-close

28. Completing client thank-you letters at job close and providing to marketing for the end of project gift

29. Reviewing post job analyses

30. Submitting entries for design awards throughout the year

31. Attending sales team meetings

32. Attending staff home shows and other marketing events

33. Conducting 6-month / 12-month customer follow up calls

34. Tracking personal commissions

35. Submitting personal expense reports monthly

36. Submitting time sheets if applicable

37. Following the DreamMaker Code of Values

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or related field

· Or equivalent work experience, 5-10 years in related field and position

· Minimum of two years of selling in the Kitchen and Bath Industry

· Experience working with residential trade contractors (plumbing , electrical, HVAC, carpentry, countertops, drywall, tile and flooring)

· Extensive sales background

· Understanding of construction basics

· Basic computer skills in MS Office applications

· Design software experience with 20/20 or equivalent

General Manager

This position will collaborate with all departments in a team spirit with the primary goal of fulfilling our company Brand Position Statements, Mission and Vision in accordance with our Code of Values and be committed to achieving the sales and profitability objectives set each year.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.18 per hour
