Find The RightJob.
Mile High Kids Collective runs Little Medical School programs across the South Denver metro, teaching kids ages 4–12 what doctors, nurses, and veterinarians actually do. We're looking for two or three reliable part-time instructors to join our team this spring and summer.
The job is simple: you show up at an elementary school, daycare, or rec center with a bin of real medical equipment (stethoscopes, reflex hammers, blood pressure cuffs, lab coats in kid sizes), and you run a 60 minute class that we've already written for you. Kids listen to their own heartbeats, practice taking pulses on stuffed animals, learn what an X-ray is, and generally have a blast pretending to be doctors. You don't need a medical background — we train you on the curriculum and give you everything you need.
What the schedule actually looks like
Most classes run between 2:00 and 4:00 PM on weekdays during the school year, since they're after-school enrichment programs. You'll typically work 5–15 hours per week depending on how many days you're available. Summer is busier — full-day camp weeks at partner schools with more hours available if you want them. This is a great fit if you're a college student (we're right by ACC, DU, and MSU Denver), a teacher looking for side income, a retired educator, a stay-at-home parent with school-age kids of your own, or a healthcare worker who wants something different on your off days.
What you'll actually do
Drive to the day's class location (we cover Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Centennial, and Englewood — you pick which areas work for your commute). Set up the classroom, teach the lesson we've prepped for you, keep a group of 12(max) kids engaged and safe, pack up, and head home. You'll also send short updates to the site coordinator and occasionally chat with parents at pickup.
