The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Part-Time Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role offers rare, hands-on exposure to a professional organic chemistry laboratory. It is an ideal position for someone looking to build a strong foundation for a career in science while maintaining a flexible daytime schedule (no nights, weekends, or holidays).

Core Responsibilities

• Laboratory Support: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness by washing and organizing specialized scientific glassware and equipment.
• Operational Assistance: Perform various technical tasks to support core laboratory operations and workflow.
• Safety & Compliance: Safely handle and dispose of chemicals as directed, adhering strictly to safety protocols and company policies.
• Documentation: Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety rules, and internal instructions to ensure quality control.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; must be 18+ years of age.
• Scientific Interest: Preference given to candidates with a scientific background or those currently enrolled in a science-related degree program.
• Work Ethic: Ability to work independently with high attention to detail while maintaining a positive team attitude.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret safety documents and technical instructions accurately.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Requirements: Must have valid U.S. work authorization.
