Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Landscape Maintenance & Property Custodian, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our outdoor spaces and properties. You will be responsible for performing a variety of landscape maintenance tasks, operating hand tools and power equipment, and ensuring the property remains inviting and safe for all visitors and staff. Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to promote healthy turf growth.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, tree trimming, shrubbery care, and garden upkeep.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment including trimmers, blowers, excavators, and irrigation systems to complete maintenance projects efficiently.
- Maintain hardscape features such as walkways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures through cleaning and minor repairs.
- Assist with snow removal during winter months to ensure safe access to the property.
- Support tree care activities including planting new trees and performing routine trimming to promote safety and aesthetics.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify landscaping needs or safety hazards and address them promptly.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience operating landscaping machinery and hand tools.
- Proficiency in lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and irrigation system management.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, planting, hardscape upkeep, and gardening.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively in various outdoor settings.
- Experience with snow plowing equipment for winter weather conditions.
- Familiarity with tree care practices including trimming and health assessment.
- Knowledge of common landscape plants and weeds, including the ability to identify weeds and properly maintain ornamental plants, shrubs, and flower beds
- Basic conversational English and Spanish preferred. Ability to communicate with both English- and Spanish-speaking coworkers and supervisors is a plus.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
