Part time Laundry Attendant

Hattiesburg Health and Rehab is currently accepting applications for a part-time Laundry Attendant here at our long term care facility.

• Washing and Drying: Operating washing machines and dryers, following established procedures for water temperature, detergent usage, and drying times.
• Folding and Sorting: Folding clean laundry items neatly and efficiently, and sorting them for distribution to appropriate areas.
• Distribution: Delivering clean laundry to designated storage areas and directly to resident rooms as needed.
• Maintaining Laundry Room: Keeping the laundry area clean, organized, and free of hazards, ensuring proper storage of laundry supplies and equipment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on laundry equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
• Infection Control: Adhering to strict hygiene protocols and infection control procedures to minimize the risk of cross-contamination.
• Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory management of linens and laundry supplies, notifying management when reordering is needed.
• Communication: Communicating effectively with nursing staff to prioritize laundry needs and address any concerns related to resident laundry.
• Customer Service: Assisting residents with laundry-related requests or concerns.
