Part-Time Learning Specialist (Education Background Required)

Overview:
The Learning Specialist is responsible for supporting students, families, and Instructors through the delivery of Engaging Minds’ executive function coaching model. This role manages a caseload of students and families, provides ongoing coaching and support to Instructors, and collaborates with leadership to ensure a high-quality experience for students and families.
Primary Responsibilities:
Student & Family Support
- Manage an assigned caseload of students and families, ensuring ongoing communication and support.
- Monitor student progress and collaborate with families to ensure student success.
Instructor Support & Development
- Support Instructor development through ongoing observation, feedback, and coaching
- Partner with Instructors to address student needs and support learning outcomes.
- Provide guidance related to student support, executive function coaching, and Engaging Minds best practices.
Student Coaching
- Serve as an Instructor to 2 students to support student needs and remain connected to Engaging Minds instructional practices.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development
- Participate in curriculum development initiatives as a collaborative team member.
- Contribute feedback and recommendations based on student and Instructor experiences.
Learning Profiles & Student Intakes
- Develop Learning Profiles to support successful student matching.
- Conduct student discovery/intake calls for new students, typically after six months of employment.
Collaboration & Organizational Leadership
- Collaborate with the Learning Specialist team and leadership to support student and Instructor success.
- Participate in team meetings to support organizational initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Model and uphold the Engaging Minds Team Charter and organizational values.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in education, school counseling, student support services, or a related role.
- Prior training, coaching, mentoring, or instructional support experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of executive function skills, student learning needs, and educational best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms), and Zoom.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of digital literacy and ability to quickly learn new technology platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong team collaboration.
- Availability during business hours, with flexibility to support occasional evening and Sunday needs.
