Duties
- Greet prospective tenants warmly, answer inquiries via phone and in person, and guide them through the leasing process with enthusiasm.
- Present property features, amenities, and lease terms clearly to encourage resident engagement and upselling opportunities.
- Manage leasing documentation efficiently using Yardi or OneSite property management software, ensuring accurate data entry and filing.
- Review lease agreements, contracts, and legal documents meticulously to ensure compliance with landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 guidelines.
- Conduct background checks, verify income, and process applications swiftly to facilitate timely move-ins.
- Maintain ongoing communication with residents, addressing questions or concerns promptly to foster strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate with property management teams on maintenance requests, lease renewals, and occupancy updates to support overall property operations.
Skills
- Proficiency in Yardi, Rent Manager, or comparable property management software for leasing and data management.
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures related to leasing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly phone etiquette and conflict management abilities.
- Ability to negotiate lease terms effectively while maintaining compliance with contracts and legal standards.
- Office experience including data entry, filing, and administrative support; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell property features or additional services confidently to prospective residents.
- Effective communication skills for handling customer relationships, conflict resolution, and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
