Part-Time Aide – Circulation Services

$18.77-$23.69/hour, 20 hours/week

The Herrick District Library is seeking a responsible, service-minded Library Aide to join our team in the Circulation department at the Main Library. Library Aides perform a wide range of library functions that encourage our community to connect, discover, and create.

Primary duties include assisting patrons with library card functions, solving patron account issues, and helping to maintain an inviting space for all guests. This position also provides some reader’s advisory, access to information, helps with technology on the floor and in Groundworks, and interacts with patrons while roving.

This position requires a high school diploma. Spanish language fluency is desired.

Weekly schedule:

• Tuesday 9:00-1:00pm
• Wednesday 4:00-9:00pm
• Thursday 1:00-6:00pm
• Friday 1:00-6:00pm
• Every third Saturday 9:00-6:00pm
• Occasional Sun 1:00-6:00pm
• Hours may vary and there is some flexibility
