Part-time Library Assistant-Sullivan Gardens Branch Library

The Sullivan County Public Library is seeking a fun and engaging candidate to assist with circulation and programming tasks at our Sullivan Gardens Branch Library. SCPL has five branches and the selected candidate must be available to work at all locations if needed. This person will work at least 16 hours each week, but not more than 28 hours per week and must be available Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Ideal candidates are passionate about reading, technology, and actively engaging with the community. Candidates should be detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities include:

• Complete circulation duties as directed by the Branch Manager
• Work with the Branch Manager to serve the programming needs of the community which may include organizing and facilitating adult or youth programs
• Receives and records money per library policies
• Work with the Library Director to develop an individual plan for continuing education and professional development

Candidates must be willing to complete a background check.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Library services: 1 year (Required)
