Part-Time LPN (Weekends)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for weekend shifts. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a supportive environment, ensuring the well-being of our residents and patients. Your expertise will contribute to the overall health and comfort of those in your care, particularly in settings such as assisted living, long-term care, and memory care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care for residents.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
• Participate in triage and emergency response as needed.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.

Skills
Candidates should possess a variety of skills that enhance their ability to provide exceptional care, including but not limited to:

• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
• Experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, or hospice settings.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), and medication administration.
• Skills in IV insertion, phlebotomy, catheterization, tube feeding, and airway management.
• Familiarity with geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
• Experience in acute pain management, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine is highly valued.
