Part-Time Maintenance Assistant & Delivery Driver

Reports To: Maintenance Lead

The Maintenance Assistant supports the Maintenance Lead in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of the company’s facilities, with a focus on maintaining a safe, organized, and aesthetically pleasing environment. This position requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality results across a variety of tasks. Client deliveries require an organized mindset, safe driving skills, attention to detail and physical stamina.

Key Responsibilities:

• Landscape Maintenance: Maintain the grounds of a 5-acre retail nursery. Responsibilities include mowing, weed-eating, invasive plant removal, hardscaping, planting, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces.
• Facility Maintenance Support: Assist the Maintenance Lead in performing a variety of improvements and repairs around the nursery, including irrigation systems, electrical work, plumbing, and other tasks, ensuring the continued functionality of facilities.
• Customer Support: Assist with the loading of customer purchases into vehicles, providing excellent customer service and ensuring safe handling of plant materials.
• Receiving & Stocking: Help unload incoming deliveries of plant material
• Waste Management: Monitor on-site trash cans and recycle containers, emptying them when full to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Client Deliveries: Load plants and cross-reference from client receipt to confirm everything is included; contact client with delivery ETA, unload plants safely. Be able to answer basic planting questions. Friendly manners are a must.

The Maintenance Assistant is expected to use sound judgment in all tasks and maintain a positive attitude toward problem-solving, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. This role requires an individual who is adaptable, reliable, and focused on contributing to the overall success of the farm and nursery operations.

Applicants must be over the age of 25, in order to drive our vehicle.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
