Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to help maintain the safety, functionality, and overall condition of our property. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and preventative upkeep.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong problem-solving skills, a solid technical foundation, and the ability to work independently while adhering to all health and safety standards. The primary goal is to ensure our buildings and common areas remain in excellent condition for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify and resolve issues in compliance with safety standards
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems (e.g., replacing light fixtures, outlets, and maintaining breaker panels)
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, ventilation, and refrigeration systems
- Maintain plumbing and heating systems to ensure proper functionality
- Inspect fire alarms and other safety systems; coordinate repairs as needed
- Perform general repairs such as fixing locks, replacing windows, and minor structural work
- Carry out pest control activities, including applying appropriate treatments
- Complete general upkeep tasks such as landscaping, painting, and basic carpentry
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and assist with budget tracking and cost control
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with general maintenance processes, tools, and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks, including lifting and extended periods of standing
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a related field is a plus
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) designation is preferred
Pay: $19.00 - $19.50 per hour
Work Location: In person
