Part-Time Maintenance Technician (Apartment Community)

We are seeking a proactive and energetic Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our vibrant apartment community team. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, and general carpentry to keep the community’s facilities in excellent condition
• Conduct inspections of mechanical systems, schematics, and facilities equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics diagrams
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and mechanical components
• Assist with residential painting projects and minor remodeling tasks to enhance property aesthetics
• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive maintenance
• Support safety protocols by inspecting facilities regularly and ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Collaborate with team members and supervise other maintenance staff when needed to complete projects efficiently

Experience

• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or residential property management is highly desirable
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting techniques
• Hands-on experience with welding, plumbing, electrical repairs, and general building maintenance
• Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial environments involving PLCs and complex machinery is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English with residents and team members
• Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance operations is advantageous
• Proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters, schematics reading, and CMMS software is preferred
