Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and engaging Part-Time Mandarin Chinese Language Instructor to provide personalized Chinese language instruction for an executive professional. The ideal candidate is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, patient, professional, and able to adapt lessons based on the student’s learning pace and goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one Mandarin Chinese language instruction
• Develop lesson plans tailored to the student’s skill level and goals
• Teach conversational Mandarin, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and cultural understanding
• Track learning progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
• Create an engaging and supportive learning environment
• Recommend practice materials, exercises, or resources between sessions
• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and consistent communication

Schedule

• Part-time
• Weekend availability
• Approximately 1-3 hours per week

Requirements

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English required
• Previous teaching, tutoring, or language coaching experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, organized, and adaptable teaching style
• Experience teaching adults or business professionals is a plus
• Ability to work independently and maintain a flexible schedule

Expected hours: 1 – 3 per week
