Positon Summary

We are looking for an exceptional Math Instructor/Tutor to join our team. This is a part-time position (typically 8-20 hours per week) with flexible hours. Usually, hours are Monday—Friday afternoons between 3 and 7PM and possibly Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons. You will create an engaging and productive learning experience for students. The ideal candidate will be a bright, passionate, and ambitious professional with excellent interpersonal, math, instruction, and tutoring skills. Training is provided. All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional instruction/tutoring services to students
• Teach using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
• Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• A passion for math and working with students
• High level math skills (be able to tutor in Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and possibly Trigonometry)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and be trained
